By accessing or using Eolas Nua, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app or website. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

Eolas Nua is a study companion app designed for Leaving Cert students. The platform provides smart timetables, focus sessions, study analytics, squad accountability features, and study insights to help students study more effectively and achieve their academic goals.

User Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to the following:

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
• Each person may only maintain one account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Eolas Nua only for its intended purpose as a study tool. The following behaviours are prohibited:

• Misusing squad features, including harassment, bullying, or inappropriate conduct towards other users.
• Attempting to manipulate leaderboards, study statistics, or any gamification elements through dishonest means.
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the app or its infrastructure.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and code within Eolas Nua is the intellectual property of Eolas Nua and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without prior written permission.

Your study data, including sessions, timetables, and personal notes, belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any content you create within the app.

Subscriptions & Payments

Eolas Nua offers a free tier with core functionality. Premium features require an active subscription. Please note:

• Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Payment processing and billing are handled entirely by the respective platform (Apple or Google).
• Refund requests are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings. Access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Disclaimers

Please be aware of the following:

• Eolas Nua is a study tool and does not guarantee any specific academic results, grades, or CAO points.
• The app is an educational aid and is not a replacement for classroom teaching, tutoring, or professional academic guidance.
• App features provide suggestions and insights, not definitive answers. Users should exercise their own judgement.
• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eolas Nua and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in abusive behaviour, or otherwise compromise the integrity of the platform. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
